Other Plans

Some services offer alternative plans as choices to their monthly plans. Plans for access paid a year in advance are available. ISDN users and users that want content without access also have pricing options.

The plans mentioned in this section will not be included on the Comparison section. Since these types of pricing plans provide alternative services, they should not be directly compared to the regular monthly plans from other services.

Yearly Plans

Currently, three services offer a yearly pricing plan.

ISDN Plans

MSN offers dual-channel ISDN access. Rates for single-channel ISDN access are the same as modem access.

Content Plans

MSN and America Online both offer pricing plans that give users unlimited access to content found on their service.

The benefit of content plans is the user gets lower pricing because the service does not have to pay for the user's connection to the network. However, in order to use these content plans it is necessary to have another Internet provider for access since only content and not access is covered in these plans.
