Site Info

The IE4 Central web site is my contribution to the Internet
community. Its purpose is to be a central resource for
information about the latest browser from Microsoft.
History
The Internet Explorer 4.0 Information
Center appeared out of nowhere and on the web over
night. During winter break 1996 I was stuck at home as a
result of a huge snow storm. I broke out my brand new
copy of FrontPage 97 and started typing away. A day later
this site was born.
In June 1997, I added frames and Dynamic HTML to the web site along with an expanded use of style sheets. These changes were implemented to improve navigation and to make a more pleasing layout.
In August 1997, I enhanced the implementation of frames and Dynamic HTML. These changes were again made to improve navigation and to make a better layout. The site was also renamed IE4 Central in order to make the name more simple and not as long-winded as the Internet Explorer 4.0 Information Center.
