Outlook Express

Internet Mail and News 1.0 has been renamed Outlook
Express. This program takes significant steps to becoming the premier
newsgroup and e-mail client.

Automated Dialer Support
There is now a single Dial-Up Networking interface unlike with IMN.
Blind Carbon Copy (BCC)
Allows e-mail to be sent to multiple addresses without the recipients
knowing who else the message was sent to.
Drag and Drop Support
Improved throughout the program.
Folder Management
Available in Outlook Express. Gives users the ability to tell what folders
have new mail in them without opening them and change between folders
without using the drop-down menu.
HTML Editing/Reading
Full HTML support is available in Outlook Express.
Hierarchical Folders
Nested subfolders are now available.
Image Viewer
Outlook Express uses the HTML engine from IE 4.0 and now supports inline
images.
IMAP4
Allows downloading of e-mail headers, selected messages, no attachments,
and more..
In-Box Direct
Support for Netscape's enhanced e-mail formatting and delivery will be
supported.
LDAP
Available in IMN 1.0 (build 1160) and Outlook Express.
Multiple E-mail Accounts
You can now have Outlook Express manage multiple e-mail accounts with
ease.
Newsgroup Filtering
Includes kill file features such as blocking posts from certain
individuals, posts with certain words in the subject, by number of lines,
or by the date.
S/MIME Encryption
Digitally signs messages to verify the sender and encrypts messages.
Search in News and Enhanced Search in Mail
Allows users to search for text in message headers.
Subscribed Newsgroups in a Window
No longer in a drop-down list, subscribed newsgroups are always visable.
View Only Downloaded Messages
Now available along with view all, view unread, and view filtered.
