Can I use IE 4.0 in standalone mode?

Yes, you are not forced to use IE 4.0 as an integrated feature of the interface.

Will I be able to use other browsers if I install IE 4.0?

Yes, you can use other browsers such as Netscape Communicator.

What is Nashville?

Nashville was the code name for Internet Explorer 4.0 when it was in development throughout 1996.

What is Memphis?

Memphis was the code name for the next version of Windows 95 due in late 1997. It was named Windows 98 when it became a commercial product.

How can I become an official beta tester?

To become a beta tester for Microsoft software products, e-mail betareq@microsoft.com. An automated reply will be e-mailed to you with instructions for applying to become a beta tester.
